Welcome to my learning blog.
This blog will exhibit my approach, thoughts and reasoning for the assignments, summaries on student visits and reflections of exhibition visits on other photographers work.
I’m studying towards my first degree after a good few years working. I recently decided to enhance my existing skills and decided to start an accredited course. Wanting to do something to not only underpin my knowledge but meet other photographers that I could learn from as there are some very talented photographers out there, I do feel photography as an art can be quite isolating at times and you need to meet people to blend ideas.
After a little hiccup on a City & Guilds L3 course (the local learning centre cancelled the course) I enrolled on a Level 2 course in February 2016. I’m pleased to say I passed this, I could have moved onto a Level 3 but decided there probably would be little gain and threw myself into a degree with the OCA. Prior to February I had not studied properly since leaving school quite a few years ago, learning again after a long break will be a challenge. This Blog is in itself a steep learning curve.
There are links to my website, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages so please feel free to visit those and follow me, I’m normally pretty good and will follow you back 🙂
